Meetings of the Ambassador of Armenia with the Speaker of the Parliament of Luxembourg, Head of the Chamber of Commerce and the Rector of the University of Luxembourg

During his visit to Luxembourg, Ambassador Tigran Balayan visited the Chamber of Deputies, where he was received by Parliament Speaker Fernand Etgen.

After handing over the letter of the RA NA Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan to the head of Luxembourg's legislative body Tigran Balayan thanked him for the unanimously adopted resolutions by the parliament condemning the aggression against Artsakh.

At the request of the Speaker of the Parliament Ambassador Balayan briefed him about the war crimes committed by Azerbaijan and Turkey during and after the aggression against Artsakh. He emphasized the importance of the role of the parliaments in the process of holding the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan accountable.

During the conversation detailed discussion was held on possibilities of deepening bilateral cooperation and contribution of parliamentary diplomacy was emphasized to that end.

Within the framework of the visit Ambassador Balayan also met with Luke Frieden, President of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce. At the meeting the main directions for boosting trade and economic cooperation between Armenia and Luxembourg as well as practical steps aimed at their expansion were touched upon.

Tigran Balayan met with the Rector of the University of Luxembourg Stefan Palage. The sides exchanged views on establishing cooperation in the field of science and education.
